Montreal police extinguished a fire early Friday at a residence in the borough of Ahuntsic-Cartierville, the second time arsonists have struck the home in two days.
Officers were called to the home on Beau-Bois Ave. around 12:30 a.m. Arriving at the scene before firefighters, police used a fire extinguisher to douse the beginnings of a fire set at the home’s garage door.
On Wednesday, police were called to the same address around 10:20 p.m. after a vehicle parked in the driveway of the residence was set on fire. The vehicle sustained minor damage and at least one suspect was seen fleeing the scene before police arrived.
Flammables found at the scene of the latest incident suggest the second fire was also deliberately set and the case has been transferred to the arson squad. Police spoke
