An updated report was issued from the National Weather Service on Friday at 8:56 a.m. for lake effect snow until 10 a.m. for Southern Fulton, Northern Saratoga, Western Schenectady, Eastern Schenectady, Southern Saratoga, Western Albany, Eastern Albany, Western Rensselaer, Eastern Rensselaer, Northern Fulton and Southern Washington as well as Montgomery and Schoharie counties.

"At 8:55 a.m., a lake effect snow band was over Glenville, or near Amsterdam moving east at 50 MPH," according to the weather service.

This includes the following highways: Interstate 88 between exits 24 and 25. Interstate 90 between exits 9 and 28. Interstate 890 between exits 1a and 9. Interstate 87 between exits 23 and 7, and between exits 8A and 15. Interstate 787 between exits 1 and 9.
