Christmas dinner in 2025 looks nothing like it did decades ago as Brits are stuffing tradition and serving up whatever tickles their tastebuds.

Swapping traditions for new rituals, creative mash-ups, and convenient takeaways, Papa Johns new research of UK adults reveals how the nation is ripping up the roast rules, and mixing and matching favourites alongside the usual suspects.

While many are planning to remix their roast, turkey still holds the top spot among meat-eaters at 65%.

However, its crown is slipping as the old “one meat fits all” rule is disappearing, with chicken (34%) and beef (32%) stepping in as additional or alternative options.
