Ifelt the absurdity of Gov. Wes Moore’s administration firsthand today, when I went to have the emissions tested on my vehicle and found that the fee/tax had increased over 100% from $14 in 2023 to $30 today. How can this increase be justified? How do they come up with the amount of an increase such as this? Nothing has changed in the emissions testing, and I didn’t get a free car wash.

Unfortunately, I voted for Gov. Moore because he was a military veteran, which I admire. But to raise fees/taxes to the extent of this is ridiculous.

Also, if he hadn’t blown through the surplus left by Gov. Larry Hogan, they would have enough to pay for the increase in the updated estimate for the reconstruction of the Key Bridge.
