A man walking on Interstate 405 near Southwest Corbett Street was struck by a car and killed early Friday, Portland police reported.

The crash occurred about 1:40 a.m. and the driver stayed at the scene, police said.

They didn’t release the name of the man who died or the driver.

The crash closed the split at northbound Interstate 5 for several hours, police said.
