LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Emergency crews are attempting a water rescue downtown after reports of a car driving into the Ohio River on Saturday.

A spokesperson with the Louisville Fire Department informed WAVE that crews are actively searching for a car that is believed to have driven into the Ohio River.

Initial reports suggest that the car went into the water near the Joe’s Crab Shack on River Road.

LFD says they have not successfully located the vehicle at this time.

No further information has been released at this time.
