The City of Flagstaff announced on Monday , Nov. 24, that a new Technology Privacy Task Force is now accepting applications. The 10-member group will provide input on current and future city policies governing the adoption of new technologies.

The formation of the task force was prompted by discussions about Flock Safety, the company behind the controversial license plate cameras installed here last year. Earlier this month the Flagstaff City Council gave a cautious approval to the continued use of those cameras so long as certain conditions were met. One of those conditions was the creation of a new citizen body to provide community input to the city and the Flagstaff Police Department. Copy article link Sign up for our newsletters
