FLINT, MI — For 40 years, Flint has kicked off the holiday season with a simple tradition that has become a beloved event in the city — a walk.

The Holiday Walk began as the Flint Cultural Center’s way of giving back to the community.

Thousands of visitors attend the free event each year.

This year’s event returns to the Flint Cultural Center campus from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2.

The 33-acre campus will be transformed into a winter wonderland with imaginative holiday light displays, reindeer, seasonal children’s crafts, free planetarium holiday sampler shows, holiday shopping in the gift shops and free photos with Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus in the FIM Whiting Auditorium

Festive live music and performances round out the event.
