Five firefighters from the Norwalk Fire Department were transported to the hospital after facing heavy fire and serve conditions while fighting a three-alarm fire on Saturday afternoon.
The Norwalk Fire Department responded to 13 Golden Hill St. just before 2:30 p.m. and the firefighters were transported to Norwalk Hospital. All were treated and released, according to the Norwalk Fire Department.
All Norwalk fire companies were on scene and station coverage was provided by Stamford, New Canaan, Westport and Rowayton fire departments.
Twelve people were displaced by the fire and were aided by the Red Cross; no occupants were injured.
The fire is being investigated by the Norwalk Fire Marshal’s Division.
