The northbound lanes of Interstate 95 have reopened in Philadelphia after police activity diverted traffic off the highway at Cottman Avenue for over an hour Sunday morning.
Traffic cameras showed emergency vehicles that were parked on I-95 just before Cottoman Avenue (Exit 30) move off the highway just before 11:20 a.m. Traffic is now moving normally.
Earlier in the morning, the city's Office of Emergency Management said I-95 between Exit 26 (Aramingo Avenue) and Exit 30 (Cottman Avenue) was closed due to police activity.
Cameras along the highway showed northbound traffic moving again from the Aramingo Exit around 10 a.m., but drivers were still being directed off the highway at the Cottman Avenue. An alert on 511pa.com said police activity temporarily closed the highway between Exi
