CARROLL COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - One driver was killed in a crash Sunday morning involving two tractor-trailers, a pickup and a car.
Virginia State Police say the crash happened November 30, 2025 about 5:09 a.m. on Interstate 77 northbound at mile marker 8 in Carroll County.
Police say the driver of a pickup was headed north in the left lane on Interstate 77 and hit the back of a tractor-trailer. The pickup ran off the left side of the interstate into the median. Shortly after that crash, the driver of a Tesla, moving from the left lane to the right lane, hit a second tractor-trailer, then went back into the left lane and struck the first tractor-trailer.
The driver of the Tesla died at the scene. That person’s name has not been released.
