Students at four Dysart Unified School District campuses recently learned all about the U.S. judicial system from a pair of judges.

Brothers Michael and Thomas Parascandola gave students at Riverview School, El Mirage Elementary School, Surprise Elementary School and Thompson Ranch Elementary School a presentation about the U.S. Constitution and the judicial system.

Michael Parascandola is the presiding judge for the city of El Mirage, while Thomas Parascandola is a judge for the Peoria City Court.

District officials said the students were engaged as they learned about the courts. They were also challenged to think critically about one of the three branches of government.
