PADUCAH, Ky. (WSIL) -- The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for parts of southern Illinois, western Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

The advisory is in effect from 6 p.m. on Monday, December 1, to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, December 2.

The advisory is for Pope and Massac Counties in Illinois; Fulton, Hickman, Carlisle, Ballard, McCracken, and Graves Counties in Kentucky; and Mississippi and New Madrid Counties in Missouri. This also includes Dunklin and Pemiscot Counties per the National Weather Service in Memphis.

Residents can expect mixed precipitation with up to one inch of snow and sleet and a light glaze of ice. This weather could make roads, bridges, and overpasses slick and hazardous.
