SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. — Officials say a man was seriously injured in a Saturday evening shooting in Sumter County.

The Sumter County Sheriff's Office said the shooting happened on Utah Drive between 5 and 5:30 p.m.

While details are still limited, the sheriff's office said the adult male victim was later taken to Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, where he was reportedly still listed in serious condition.
