QUAD CITIES, Iowa/Ill. (KWQC) -
Slick evening commute
Clipper Wednesday
Dangerously cold Thursday
First Alert Days are in effect this afternoon and evening for snow and slick roads.
Snow will break out around midday and continue into the evening. It will be fluffy and quick to accumulate, around 1” near the QC, with as much as 4” around Galesburg. Areas north of the QC will likely see less than an inch.
Wind doesn’t appear to be an issue, so blowing and drifting shouldn’t be a problem. But since we’re starting December on the colder side, the snow will stick to just about everything.
We’ll stay in the 20s and 30s Tuesday and Wednesday ahead of our next clipper, which brings another round of light snow Wednesday. The bigger story will be the breezy and bitterly cold air behind it.
