MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Maryville Police Chief Tony Crisp provided an update Monday on Officer Justin Brown, who was critically injured in a crash last month during a security motorcade for Vice President JD Vance.
Brown was seriously injured when his police motorcycle collided with a state trooper’s car near Merrit Road on East Lamar Alexander Parkway on Friday, Nov. 14 when Vance flew to East Tennessee for a fundraiser at Blackberry Farm , according to Crisp.

Crisp said Brown is continuing to make steady progress, adding that he was released from the hospital Saturday afternoon and transferred to a rehabilitation center in Knox
