PORTLAND, Oregon — Portland police have arrested a man now linked to two unprovoked attacks that happened within minutes of one another one morning last week in Southeast Portland.
On Monday, KGW spoke with family and neighbors of a grandmother who was healing after being attacked outside her home. It happened Nov. 25 just after 8 a.m. on Southeast 122nd Avenue near Powell Boulevard.
The 69-year-old woman was taking out the trash when a man wearing a blue jacket walked by. Security video shows the man turning around before approaching the woman and punching her. The victim fell to the ground and the suspect ran away.
