WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The ninth annual Kansas Opioid and Stimulant Conference was hosted on Tuesday at the Hyatt Regency Wichita.
The focus of the conference is on addressing the opioid epidemic and giving communities the tools to address the challenges of substance misuse. Organizers spoke about what they’ve seen in the nine years since the conference first began.

“We are seeing fewer deaths, which is a win, but there’s still a lot of room for work around the opioid epidemic,” Chrissy Mayer, the Chief Community Based Services Officer at DCCCA, said.
