HOUSTON — Willie Nelson is one of the world's most beloved celebrities and that makes him a favorite target for fake internet rumors, including false reports that he died.
Now, the Texas icon is poking fun at the phony posts on his Instagram.
"If you believe those AI death stories one more time…," Nelson posted along with photos of him lying on a couch in a robe.
Rumors about the 92-year-old music legend dying were being spread long before AI. Nelson even released a song called "Still Not Dead" back in 2017.

The news said I was gone to my dismay

He was asked about the inspiration in a 2017 interview.
