LINDSAY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Just before 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Tulare County Sheriff's deputies were called to an area near Avenue 236 west of Lindsay for a shooting.

When they arrived, deputies learned a 23-year-old man had been outside when a car pulled up and someone inside the car shot him in the chest.

Deputies and Emergency Personnel tried to give life-saving aid, but the victim died at the scene.

Right now, TCSO Homicide Detectives are heading to the area to take over the investigation.
