MUSKEGON COUNTY, Mich. — It was driveway cleanup day for homeowners in Muskegon County on Tuesday after a record-setting lake effect snowstorm.
Aaron Barnhill spent much of the day on his snowblower clearing out his driveway, and parking spaces on his street.
“I was out and about last night, there was about six inches there. I cleared it off, I came back, I parked and woke up at 5:30 for work in the morning, and I was like, 'Oh, my God.' It was crazy how much snow there was,” Barnhill said.
Snowfall totals show Muskegon beat a snowfall record for December 1st, with more than seven inches on the ground.
Because of this, Muskegon County Road Commission Maintenance Director Andrew Nichols said that crews had a lot of work ahead of them Monday night.
