HOLLAND, Michigan — Hundreds of people lined 8th Street between Columbia Avenue and the Holland Civic Center on Tuesday night as more than 80 floats and marching bands filled the streets with holiday cheer. The Parade of Lights has been a seasonal favorite on the lakeshore, but it's far from the only thing going on in Holland during the holidays.
" We just opened a new ice park . Magic at the Mill is kicking off. Dutch Winterfest is kicking off. And then obviously we have the farmers market, the winter farmers market, the Kerstmarkt. It's always something that's going on in downtown Holland, whether or not it's the holiday season or any other season of the year," said Linda Hart who serves as the executive director of the Holland Convention & Visitors Bureau.
