OLYMPIA, Wash. – Washington lawmakers are set to gather in Olympia next week in preparation for the 2026 legislative session, which begins on January 12.
During their committee days, they are expected to focus on strategies to spend, save and raise money.
Earlier this year, lawmakers implemented billions of dollars in new and increased taxes.
They also made spending cuts to address a projected budget gap of around $16 billion over four years.
