A mum said she can't thank hospital staff enough for what they did after her life "flipped upside down." Six weeks ago, Pat and Colin Harding, from Thornton Hough, were living a "normal and happy" life.
Little did they know a deadly infection was growing inside Colin's body, which would later paralyse him from the neck down. On October 19, dad-of-two Colin, 70, complained his legs "felt wobbly" and was rushed to Arrowe Park Hospital.
Staff later confirmed an infection, which had been growing around his heart, had spread into his neck and spinal cord, causing him to be completely paralysed. His wife Pat, 69, told the ECHO : "I've been living in a living nightmare.
