A 44-year-old man was arrested last week after he was accused of assaulting a child in Saddle Brook.

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office learned of the alleged incident on Nov. 26 and launched an investigation.

The investigation found that Victor Morales of Saddle Brook assaulted and injured the child, according to a statement from the prosecutor’s office.

Morales was arrested the same day and charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree aggravated assault, authorities said. He was taken to the Bergen County Jail and held pending his detention hearing.
