Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea is gearing up for his first solo music release after being in his band for more than 40 years.
The legendary musician dropped his new single “A Plea” on Tuesday, Dec. 2. The eight-minute jazzy jam serves as the first single off Flea’s upcoming studio album.
“I’ve recorded something that really is the essence of me, the best of me,” Flea said in an Instagram video posted the day before the song came out. “I’m really excited that I’ve been able to articulate the best part of who I am and my relationship to the world and how I hope for a higher level of discourse amongst human beings.”
