Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority commissioners readily approved a plan to overhaul central Iowa's bus system, which includes fewer routes but more frequent service.

But leaders were dismayed to learn another member community plans to withdraw from the system.

Bondurant will drop its membership following a vote at its City Council meeting on Monday, Dec. 1. The decision marks the third city to drop out of the DART system within the past two years.
