FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - More snow showers return to the forecast this afternoon with a cold front that will also drive temperatures down to end the week. Luckily, this snow event will be the lightest of the week with an inch or less expected across the area.
Cooler air moves in after the cold front crosses that will drive wind chills near zero overnight tonight and for tomorrow morning. We will end the week with highs in the low 20s and wind chills by Friday morning below zero with some areas nearing -10. The trend going into next week will stay the same, temperatures stay well below average and it truly will feel like the middle of winter. Cooler air and cloudy skies stay for the weekend with a small chance for an isolated snow shower on Sunday before another cold start to next week.
