Two people have been arrested in connection with a serious sexual assault in a mid Suffolk town.
The incident happened between 5.45am and 6am on Wednesday, November 19 in Stowmarket.
A woman aged in her 30s was running along a pathway off Iliffe Way when she was approached by an unknown man, who pulled her to the ground and sexually assaulted her.
Police have now confirmed a 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and attempted rape.
A 49-year-old woman has also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
They have been taken to Bury St Edmunds police investigation centre for questioning.
The two arrests come after a 38-year-old man was arrested in connection with the inquiry on Sunday, November 23 and taken to Bury St Edmunds police investigation
