LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office made a major drug bust on Wednesday.

Officials said deputies recovered 108 pounds of marijuana and two pounds of suspected heroin laced with fentanyl.

The JCSO's Criminal Interdiction Division made the seizure with the help of the department's K9 unit.

Officials said the seizure was part of an ongoing investigation into a "large-scale drug trafficking" operation in Jefferson County.

They have not said where the drugs were recovered from in the city or how many people could be facing charges.
