Louisville is getting ready to illuminate downtown for the holiday season at Light Up Louisville.

WLKY is a proud sponsor of this event, and our own Rick Van Hoose will be on hand to help Santa Claus light the tree.

Here's what to know about Light Up Louisville this year.

When and where

Light Up Louisville returns to Jefferson Square Park on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 3-9 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public.
