RUSSELLVILLE, Ky.- On Wednesday in Russellville, four high school seniors from both Logan County and Russellville high school competed in the annual “Seniors Helping Seniors” at Crossroads IGA.

The event is sponsored by Crossroads IGA, Independence Bank and BRADD and sees the seniors from the rival schools competing to see who can collect the most groceries in a 90-second time limit.

The winning school gets a $500 prize from Independence Bank, but all of the groceries collected by both schools will be donated to local seniors in the community that are in need.

The event not only provides these high school seniors an opportunity to give back and help a part of their community in need but gives them a chance to do so in a fun way.
