LARGO, Md. — Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Tara Jackson is urging the community to stay engaged as law enforcement agencies continue investigating a deadly shooting at the MGM National Harbor hotel and casino on Wednesday.
Jackson spoke about the shooting during a previously scheduled public safety town hall on Wednesday night, where residents pressed officials on crime trends and ways to strengthen safety across the county.
“I’m disappointed with you all that an act like this would occur, but we’re committed as a team and that’s why we’re here today,” Jackson told attendees.
The shooting left one young person dead. Jackson said she is confident police will find the suspect and “hold them accountable.”
