Naseer Green

A DC teenager who cops say was carrying a fully loaded Glock modified to fire as a machine gun — along with fentanyl and oxycodone — is headed to federal prison.

Naseer Green, 19, of the District of Columbia, was sentenced to 71 months in prison after admitting to drug and weapons offenses, according to the US Attorney's Office.

Specifically, Green pleaded guilty in September to possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and oxycodone and to possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense.

Federal officials said the case stemmed from an early-morning incident in March in the Logan Circle neighborhood.

According to court documents, MPD officers approached a sedan parked near a fire hydrant in a no-parking zone and saw four men inside.

When they approached the vehicle, investigators say that officers spotted a handgun between the legs of one of the rear passengers, leading to Green's arrest.

After additional units responded to the scene, MPD searched the vehicle’s occupants, and three of the four occupants had firearms, including Green, who had a Glock Model 19 9mm tucked into his waistband.

The weapon was outfitted with “an extended magazine with a 24-round capacity and was fully loaded.” It was also modified with a machine gun conversion device, known as a “switch,” enabling it to fire fully automatic.

The pistol had been reported stolen out of Maryland.

Officers also recovered:

  • 24 white tablets in a pill bottle;
  • 134 blue pills in a clear bag;
  • Four grams of a white powdery substance in a clear bag;
  • $357 in cash.

The pills later tested positive for fentanyl and oxycodone. The gun was determined to have been reported stolen out of Maryland.

Two co-defendants — Wesley Hilliard and Sequan Collier — are awaiting trial.

In addition to his prison term, a judge also sentenced Green to serve three years of supervised release.
