PITTSBURGH —
Allegheny County police investigated "a potential security threat" on a Sun Country flight that landed at Pittsburgh International Airport on Thursday morning, an airport spokesman said.
County police said it all stemmed from a note found in the airport that was deemed to be a potential threat. That triggered extra precaution in securing the plane carrying the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Advertisement
"We were just getting back from our very successful Carnegie Hall concert last night in New York City," said Keene Carter, senior manager of communications for the PSO.
Carter described being met on the tarmac by police.
"We deplaned calmly onto buses, and the dogs came on, and then we went to a terminal in the airport," Carter said.
