At 1:57 p.m. on Thursday, the National Weather Service issued a snow squall warning in effect until 2:30 p.m. for Montgomery, Schenectady and Schoharie counties.
"At 1:56 p.m., a dangerous snow squall was located along a line extending from near Amsterdam to 6 miles east of Ames to near Springfield, moving east at 45 mph," according to the weather service. "Other locations impacted by this snow squall include Charleston, Beekman Corners, West Richmondville, Fultonville, Hoffmans, Rockwell Corners, Harding Crossing, Engleville, Young Corners, and Gardnersville."
