FCPS will use NTI days this winter, school officials say

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Fayette County Public Schools will use non-traditional instruction days in the 2025-2026 school year.

FCPS officials confirmed in a press release, that the district will use both NIT days and regular snow days.

Earlier this year, officials discussed in a school board meeting that FCPS would not use NTI . The press release says FCPS reconsidered using NTI after more talks with department leaders in Child Nutrition and conversations with the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council

The district said families will receive details from their principals and teachers, and schools will update their NTI webpages accordingly.
