EVERETT, Wash. — An abandoned dog is recovering after Everett police officers found her tied up inside a suitcase and left in a dumpster, according to the Everett Police Department (EPD).
Patrol officers found the dog, now named Binny, behind a restaurant on Evergreen Way recently after receiving reports of an abandoned dog.
Binny was found with a rope around her neck and zipped into a suitcase inside a dumpster, police said. Everett officer Kargopoltseva transported Binny to the Everett Animal Shelter to be cared for.
The discovery, police say, was made possible only because a bystander called 911.
“Binny wouldn't have been found without that 911 call,” Everett Officer CJ Hawley said.
