Mark Sanchez has broken his silence after being pepper-sprayed and stabbed multiple times during a late-night altercation with a truck driver in an Indianapolis alley that resulted in criminal charges being laid against the analyst.

The former NFL quarterback-turned broadcaster took to Instagram on Friday, posting two photos of his wife, Perry, and their twin daughters along with a message of gratitude for those who have supported him throughout the ordeal.

“This time of year always makes me look around and appreciate what matters, but this one hits different,” the 39-year-old Sanchez wrote. “I’m just grateful — to wake up, to be home, and to be able to wrap my arms around my wife and kids.”
