Lakeview High School in Litchfield was placed in lockdown on Friday morning.

A 9mm bullet was found in a classroom, according to Superintendent Jeffery Villar.

State police responded to the school on Wamogo Road just before 10 a.m., including a K9 unit, and conducted a full sweep of the school to confirm no firearms were in the building, Villar said.

He said the bullet was brought in by a student.
