COVINGTON, Ky. —
Covington leaders have broken ground on a new multi-million dollar riverfront development, set to replace the old IRS business site with 10 single-family homes, condos and a mixed-use development.

"It's just seemed like the other day we were tearing down the building that used to be the IRS," said Ron Washington, mayor of the city of Covington.
Jody Funke, president of Funke Real Estate Group, detailed the plans, saying, "We have 10 single-family detached homes, and then we will have two mixed-use buildings that will have commercial on the first floor and second residential condos above."
