A thug carried out a brutal murder bid on a man who had been at a Celtic match. Billy Reid, 22, punched and stamped on Mark Forrester, 27, before booting him on the head as he lay stricken on the road.
A police appeal was launched with social media finally helping trace the attacker after he fled the scene. The first offender now faces a lengthy spell behind bars after he pled guilty to an attempted murder charge at the High Court in Glasgow today.
The attack occurred in the city's Duke Street in Dennistoun on February 28 2024. Prosecutor David Fisken said Mr Forrester had been at the Celtic match at Parkhead that night.
