Woman hospitalized after being hit by car in Baraboo

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A 33-year-old Baraboo woman is in the hospital after being hit by a car near Highway 136.

The Baraboo Police Department said Wednesday that a call came in around 8:15 p.m. Tuesday night that a pedestrian had been hit by a car across from the Menards Supercenter.

When officers arrived, they found a 33-year-old woman with severe injuries. The woman was taken to a Madison-area hospital and is currently in stable condition.

Early information indicates that weather and roadway conditions were factors in the crash. However, the crash is still under investigation.
