A man has been charged after bottles of spirits were stolen during a break-in at a bar near Liverpool ONE. Police were called on Friday, December 5, following reports a suspect had forced entry into a bar on Great Charlotte Street and fled with several bottles of alcohol.

Officers on foot patrol in Liverpool city centre arrested a man on Tuesday evening (December 9) on suspicion of involvement in the burglary. Connor McBlain, 38, of no fixed abode, has since been charged with burglary and obstructing police after allegedly giving false details on arrest.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Liverpool Magistrates' Court on Thursday, December 11.
