ASHEVILLE - Nearly a decade ago, Cole Wheeler hosted parties and laid back hangouts for his friends in his Texas garage. There they could talk, listen to music and have a few drinks, taking a break from the outside world.

Now Wheeler and his partner, Amanda Hodes, live in Asheville, where they have turned that idea into Wheelhouse, an official bar and coffee shop. The concept has matured into a business and communal place, where friends and strangers can interact and share a common interest in good drinks, good music and good times.
