ANN ARBOR, MI — Drivers can soon access the 570-space parking lot next to the University of Michigan’s new hospital.
The Zina Pitcher Parking Structure will open Tuesday, Dec. 16, according to a Dec. 9 university-wide announcement .
It will be at the corner of Catherine Street and Zina Pitcher Place next to the $920 million D. Dan and Betty Kahn Health Care Pavilion, 1315 E. Ann St., which opened to patients Nov. 23.
The 12-story hospital was in the works for a decade, university health system officials previously said.
The new hospital added about 690,000 square feet, including 264 private inpatient rooms, 20 surgical and three interventional radiology suites to the university health system’s main medical campus.
