LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The Kentucky State Police Department released the names of the officers involved in the church shooting that happened at the Richmond Road Baptist church Sunday, July 13th.
KSP reports that three officers with the Lexington Police Department fired their agency-issued firearms, striking the suspect, previously identified as Guy House.
The officers involved were:
Sergeant Ross Collins, a 13-year veteran,
Officer Kyle Blankenship, a 5-year veteran, and
Officer Simon Rankin, an 8-year veteran of LPD.
All three have been placed on administrative leave in accordance with LPD policy.
