Good Monday morning! It’s an oppressively hot start to the workweek, but a slight relief from the heat is on the way. Today, high temperatures will reach the mid to upper 90s. Due to the combination of high heat and humidity, heat alerts are in effect across the region. Feels-like temperatures will be above 105 degrees., but some areas may exceed 110 degrees. Remember to keep cool and drink plenty of water. Tuesday brings more heat with a stray shower or storm possible in the afternoon. Most of the region should stay dry. There’s a slight chance of showers and storms on Wednesday and Thursday due to a low-pressure system. Highs top out in the upper 90s.
