Lincoln weather: Temperatures slowly rising, could flirt with 100 by week's end

After a cloudy Sunday that saw a few showers, Lincoln and surrounding areas can expect a warmer and drier Monday with a high near 82 degrees.

The warm temperature will stick around on Tuesday and even be a little warmer with projected high of 86 degrees. Light southeast winds can be expected in the morning and wind gusts could reach up to 20 mph later in the day, according to the weather service.

Thunderstorms are possible Tuesday night through midday on Wednesday. The NWS forecasts a 20% chance of thunderstorms from 1 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
