LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Authorities are searching for four teenagers accused of robbing and assaulting a rideshare driver in Lincoln on Saturday.

Lincoln Police said a 43-year-old man working as a rideshare driver was robbed while picking up a rider at a business in the area of north 84th Street and Market Drive just before midnight.

The man was scheduled to pick up one person but told officers four teenage boys got in the vehicle. One teen allegedly took an envelope of cash and the man’s cell phone.

According to police, when he confronted them, the boys punched him multiple times in the arms and back of the head. The driver was able to get his cell phone back before the four took off running south.
